Capt. Tim Conners

Aloha welcome aboard the Moana she is a gorgeous, forty-foot, navy blue, Beneteau 393. I’ve been sailing all my life. It started when my older brother put me in our little eight-foot sailing dingy when I was five years old and pushed me off the dock. It was sink or swim. I ended up having to walk the dingy back along the shore but eventually I figured it out on my own. I could have saved years learning if I had taken a sailing class. Over the next forty years or so I went to college and got a degree in Mariculture (fish farming), I acquired one sailboat after another, usually the next one was bigger than the one before. I did a lot of racing with my brother. I became an ASA certified sailing instructor and acquired my Captains license. I was able to deliver boats to Hawaii, Mexico and once thru the Panama Canal. I told myself that one day I would take my time and explore the coast down to South America. In 2004 I departed from Dana Point California in my 44-foot Kelly Peterson. I spent the next two years sailing around the Pacific Ocean. On my way from Tahiti to California I stopped in Kona, Hawaii. I found some work driving boats for other companies. I did this for 7 years then started my own snorkeling company, Wahine Charters, which has been very successful. Now I am downsizing. One private sail boat with an amazing small “Ohana” crew that will take the utmost care of you, your family and friends. Enjoy a custom tailored sailing adventure that will be one of your best Hawaii memories!

Aloha
